Two discounts one after the other do not add up: 20% then 10% off R1 000 comes to R720, not R700. Run the calculation twice, using the first result as the second starting price.

Questions people ask
How do I apply two discounts, like 20% then another 10%?
They are applied one after the other, not added together. 20% then 10% off R1 000 is R720, not R700. Run the calculation twice, using the first result as the second starting price.
Is VAT included in the result?
Whatever you type in. In South Africa retail prices are usually shown including VAT, so the discounted price is too. Use the VAT calculator if you need to separate the two.
