The short version
The tools do their work on your own device. The text you paste and the files you open are not sent to us, not stored, and not seen by anyone. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name or your email unless you choose to give one.
Who we are
TechTur Free Tools is operated by TechTur Solutions (Pty) Ltd (registration 2026/017543/07), a South African company. For anything about this policy, write to techtursolutions@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
- Everything you type or open in a tool. Where a tool page says it runs in your browser, that is literally true — the calculation happens in your device’s own memory and no copy is transmitted.
- Your theme choice. Light, dark or system is remembered in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves the device and is not a tracking cookie.
What reaches our server
- Ordinary web request logs. Serving a page records the address requested, the time, the browser type and the IP address, as every web server does. These are used to keep the site working and to stop abuse, and are not used to build a profile of you.
- Feedback you choose to send. If you rate a tool, report a problem or suggest one, the message, the tool it was about and any email address you supplied are emailed to us. The address is used to reply, once. It is not added to any mailing list and we do not send marketing because you used a tool.
We use a short-lived counter of IP addresses to limit how many messages can be sent in a window. It holds nothing but a count and is discarded.
Analytics
No analytics are running on this site at the moment. If that changes, this page will say what is used and why before it does.
Advertising
There is no advertising on this site at the moment. We intend to add it so the tools can stay free, and when we do, this section will describe exactly what is used.
Your rights
Under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Information Regulator. In practice we hold almost nothing: unless you have emailed us or sent feedback with your address, there is nothing linked to you to request.
Children
The tools are general-purpose and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything that materially affects what we collect will be described here before it takes effect.
