Why does text copied from a PDF break in odd places?
A PDF stores each printed line separately, so copying brings a line break at the end of every line rather than at the end of every paragraph. Joining wrapped lines puts the paragraphs back together.
What are invisible characters?
Zero-width spaces, non-breaking spaces and byte order marks. They come from web pages and word processors, look like nothing, and break searching, sorting and importing. This tool removes them.
